Theme
The theme for this year's conference is "The 21st century, 10 years in". Papers should reflect the advances that have been made, the predictions that didn't quite live up to expectations, or new and unforeseen breakthroughs.
Session topics
Papers are invited on, but are not limited to, the following session topics:
- Human factors in industrial accidents
- Ergonomics in education
- Designing transport systems for users and operators
- Ergonomics and the emergency services
- Usability of military equipment
- The designer's role in maintenance
- Human factors in modern manufacturing
- Ergonomics in future computer use
- Healthcare and ageing
- Green ergonomics
Symposia
There will be a symposium on 'The 24 hour society'. We are calling for papers on working hours, shiftwork, fatigue and stress, or any other relevant topic. We are also calling for papers for a symposium on
Telerobotics in Hazardous Environments.
Debate
We are also seeking proposals for a debate. This was a lively and well attended addition to the programme last year that we are including again.

Final formatted papers by 3 December 2010

Guidance about abstracts
The title of your abstract should be a maximum of 200 characters. The body of the abstract should be a maximum of 3000 characters. There is the option of including a further 500 characters in the references and extra text box. There is also the opportunity to include one table and one image with your submission.
